I began my career at KCEO radio in Carlsbad, CA as a producer for the Jerry Gross “Sports Roundtable” radio program. Jerry got his start with the St. Louis Hawks through Curt Gowdy. My main inspiration for getting into radio was watching a Lakers/Pistons game back in 1989. I grew up listening and watching Chick Hearn, Dick Stockton, Joel Meyers, Linda Cohn, Charlie Steiner and many other broadcasters.
My show is a sports show where I’ll involve callers and spark lively debates about many of the controversial stories in sports. I think way too often, there are many hosts that are afraid to say what’s on their mind. I think Jim Rome is very good at what he does because he doesn’t hold back, and says what’s on his mind. The things he says may anger some, but he’s definitely someone whose brutally honest. My show will please some, anger many, excite others, but everyone will know that they are listening to an honest man with an honest opinion.
