Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy

Skinny Stan Laurel, and chubby Oliver Hardy became a comedy team in 1927, making comedy movie shorts and full length feature movies for Hal Roach.
They left Hal Roach in 1940, appearing in movies for Twentieth Century Fox and MGM, until 1944, when they gave up movies to work on the stage. They never had a radio show, but they did make a pilot radio show for NBC radio, that never aired, but survives to this day. Oliver Hardy was a stage singer before teaming up with Stan Laurel, and we have a couple of his recorded songs from the early 1900's.
