Bud Abbott and Lou Costello kept America laughing during the 1940's and 1950's. The two first worked together in 1935 at the Eltinge Burlesque Theater on 42nd Street in New York City. Both worked as burlesque comics with various acts until they met, and immediately clicked as a team. The CBS Mystery Theater was an ambitious project by CBS Radio that began in 1974, that tried to bring back the golden age of radio to a new generation. It starred E.G. Marshall as the host, and featured many famous actors in the weekly productions. It continued until December 31, 1982 . . . listen now
Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar was a radio drama about a “fabulous” freelance insurance investigator “with the action-packed expense account.” The show aired on CBS Radio from January 14, 1949 to September 30, 1962. There were 811 episodes in the 12-year run . . . listen now
